All My Artworks Are About
Visual communication of feelings
I use colors, shapes, textures, light and shading to express feelings of sorrow, joy, hope, despair, fear, anger, loneliness, jealousy, enjoyment, love, contentment, pride, peace, satisfaction, etc. There are times that we can express our feelings with words, but there are often times that words simply don't work, what is called in psychology as 'objective correlative', or the expression of feelings through non-verbal means. My passion is to make such expressions through 2D and 3D models, and to get follow in the path of artists such as Frederic Leighton and other aestheticism pioneers.
What you see here is my copy of Leighton's 'A Girl Feeding Peacocks' which I have done on an oil canvas, just like the original. It was my very first work and has been the source of my inspiration throughout my career.
Blender 3D Modelling
I make characters for game developers and advertisement directors, they come to me with orders like 'I want a nice and relatable everyday man, native to Central Asia. Well, everyone loved Noddy, didn't they? do you find my Ozbak villager relatable? my client did, and he wasn't even Ozbak, he was Tajik!
Recent Artworks
The past 5 years have been about character development and digital environment creation for me, I have mostly focused on 3D developments but here and there still do some 2D work as well
Abstract Artwork
And who can say no to a bit of children book illustrations, am I right? well, this is actually a 2D adventure game, but is deployed in the context of helping kids read, so in my book it's still child education and so goes into my volunteering work history!
My Story
I have always loved the nature and the colors it provides us, but what drove me to graphics was the enthusiasm my parents and siblings showed to my work as a child. being the youngest of four children, our house was wallpapered by my drawings, which you may find ordinary, until you hear that my work now plasters not only my childhood home but also the homes of my three siblings. My In-laws don't seem to mind, at least that is what they say to my face!
“A picture may be worth a thousand words, but only if you pour your heart into it. Absolute perfection is not reachable, but you can make intelligence visible in your designs. “
Exhibitions
For every graphics artist or internal designer, exhibition booth design or rendering of buildings at the presale stage is some sort of bread and butter that always puts a few extra bucks in the bank. I, however, tend to think of them as an opportunity to learn something new, like Sketchup or Rhino. Not my main tools but I know the principles of 3D design, texturing an lighting and I can educate myself. In this day and age, one needs to always keep up with new tools, or one will be left behind before one notices.
